青黑的瓦楞，如熠熠闪闪的鱼鳞，宛在碧海游。雕梁画栋，如莺歌流啭的青鸟，振翅欲飞。幽阒的回廊，几多捭阖，几多柔美，把苍劲的身影挥洒在时间潋滟的波光中。朱红的门楣板壁在夕阳的柔波中，更显得古色古香。这里，就是美丽的大夫第——蓬安县利溪镇中心小学校的所在地。

1952年9月迁入大夫第的利溪小学，迄今走过了半个多世纪的风雨历程。学校现占地面积约16亩，现有教学班16个，在职教职工38人，离退休教职工61人。学校建起了崭新的教学楼、教职工宿舍楼、党建资料室、科学实验室、图书室、学生微机室、远程教育教室、教师办公室、师生食堂、警校共育办公室、门卫值班室等。而今的利溪小学楼房林立，绿荫遮校，花香四溢，环境优雅，师职力量雄厚，现代化设备齐全，教舍宽敞。

学校历届领导及教职工能肩重任、砺磨难，办学育人延续至今，创造了利溪小学建校史上一次又一次的辉煌。2018年利溪小学党支部被蓬安县教育局党委评为“基层党建示范点”，利溪小学荣获南充市“优秀环保小社团”的称号以及南充市“环境友好型学校”的殊荣。目前，学校将继续全面贯彻党的教育方针，全面落实“三个面向”，教书育人，全面发展。学校将继续坚持“利生为本，溪水润美”的办学理念，围绕“树名师、创名校、育英才”的办学目标，以党中央的“两免一补”的德政方针，实施素质教育，切实减轻学生负担和整治学校及周边治安秩序为契机，以“警校共育”为载体，努力构建平安、和谐校园。
