想起过去的日子,想用文字记录下来,为了挑战自己,用英文草成一诗。虽不能说好,但是也讲究了抑扬和押尾韵。
While young with fantasies I was rife,
I desired to live in the desert the rest of my life. So naïve was I I discovered, I quitted and went southwest to fulfill my dream I harbored. I'd ne'er fancied moving into wedlock before, Till the very day I happened on the nymph I adore. Her figure and look emanated irresistible grace, Even her frown exuded an enchantment in place. Obliging and urbane was her personality, Her words wafted in air with rhythmicity. With charm she was so bright, None other than my Miss right. Predestined are acquaintance and marriage, While inferiority complex ripped me of my courage. Ill luck that timidity severs us poles away, Good luck that ageing diminishes the woe with each passing day.
